The Third Sunday of the Month is upon us! On Sunday October 20th, we will head up to Cloudcroft NM for lunch and then a drive through the “twisties” of Timberon/Sunspot afterwards.  All MINI and Classic Mini owners are invited to attend.  Bring yourself, your MINI, a full tank of gas and some lunch money. (Money as in Cold Hard Cash,  credit cards are a no go at some of the lunch spots)

We will have a meet/launch point in El Paso and a second meet point in Alamogordo.

El Paso Meet/Launch Point: Leave by 10:00 am

We will meet up starting around 9:00 am at the McDonalds/Western Refinery Gas Station located on the far Northeast part of town. The address is 11390 Gateway N Ste B El Paso, TX 79934. Its off US 54 Near McCombs. If you want to fuel up and grab some breakfast, get there earlier so we can stay on Schedule.

We plan on leaving from the McDonalds by about 10 am. We’ll take US 54 north up to Alamogordo.

Alamogordo Meet Point 11:30 am

If you are coming from Las Cruces or anyplace other than El Paso, we will meet up again by 11:30 am at the Mini Mart off of Hwy 54 in Alamogordo.  The address is 1957 US 54, Alamogordo NM 88310. We will be there until about noon.

Lunch In Cloudcroft at NOONish

We will park in the School Parking lot and take a lunch break. There are several spots to hit up for lunch, but we usually go to the Western Bar and Grill. Cash only, but we will leave the lunch spot open.

Regroup for Drive between 1:30 and 2:00

After lunch, we will regroup and head up into the forest for a Fall Drive.  Our destination will be the Corona Loop (Sunspot Observatory) in the higher altitudes of Timberon.  We will hit some nice twisties cool weather along the way! Please get familiar with the map for the drive up!
